A Dragonfly Is Never Ugly

A dragonfly whirls into focus
To interrupt the photograph –
A moment of purest beauty
Brightly intrudes on the planned, quiet picture –
Is the photograph not more beautiful, then,
For that pixel of joy?
The photographer may mourn the loss
Of his simple, contrived image –
But the world is enriched
For that purest wild beauty.
